When we opened in 2008, Austin was smaller, its bike scene just emerging. Today, it's one of the nation’s top cycling cities—with a diverse, thriving community we’re proud to be part of.
Mellow Johnny’s was born from Lance Armstrong and Bart Knaggs’ vision of a downtown shop that was more than retail—a hub for all things cycling. Named after the Maillot Jaune, we’ve grown with Austin, moving in 2023 to our new home at the Roundabout, just off Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
We’re still your local shop—with a global reach. We carry the best brands, offer top-notch service and Retül fittings, rent bikes, and support events that grow cycling within Austin and beyond.
