From easygoing spins to longer weekend loops, our regular rides offer something for everyone. Led by friendly, knowledgeable volunteers, each ride is a chance to connect, pedal, and have a good time.

Beginner: Scout-a-Route
Saturdays, 9:00 am
15-30 miles. Avg. speed: 12-16 mph.
No drop

The Scout-A-Route is ideal for new riders & those seeking a casual ride. Two groups typically form: one averages 14-16 mph for 20-30 miles, the other 12 mph for 15-25 miles. Skip the heart rate monitor, bring cash for refreshment stops, and enjoy the ride!

intermediate: Sunday Violet Crown Ride
Sundays, 8:15 am
7:30 am from June-August
50-60 miles. Average speed: 16-18 mph

Austin’s longest-running ride, meeting every Sunday for 30+ years! For intermediate to advanced riders, with group riding etiquette required. Expect a social, brisk 2x2 ride with stops. “No-drop,” but riders must handle their own mechanicals and keep the advertised pace.

INTERMEDIATE: T&T Violet Crown Ride
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:00 am
2 hours. Average speed: 16-18 mph

T&T, led by Violet Crown, meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 am for 2 hours of steady riding at 16-18 mph, with a few sprints. Riders should be group-savvy and able to handle a puncture. Routes vary for tempo training.

Intermediate/EXPERT: Friday Truancy Ride
Fridays, 2:30 pm
30 miles. Average speed: 17-18 mph

Kick off your weekend with a Friday afternoon Truancy Ride. We’ll roll through neighborhoods and bike routes, with some hills and optional sprints. Riders should be comfortable in groups and able to handle basic mechanical issues.

INTERMEDIATE/EXPERT: MOTR RIDE
Saturdays, 8:30 am
38-50 miles. Average speed: 17-20 mph

The MOTR Ride, led by Violet Crown, meets on Saturdays at 8:30 am. Group experience required. No-drop. Starts as one group, splits naturally. Must handle own mechanicals and know group etiquette!

expert: MJ'S FRIDAY RIDE (WEEK 1)
Friday, July 11th, 9:00 am
30 miles. Average speed: 18+ mph

Kick off the 2025 Tour de France with us on our favorite Friday loop. Grab a coffee at Mañana and catch a bit of le Tour before we head out for a fast, rolling route. Come ready to hang and handle your own flats. Post-ride, catch the Tour replay and grab a cold drink at the shop!

expert: MJ'S FRIDAY RIDE (WEEK 2)

28 miles. Average speed: 17+ mph

This one is for the climbers (or the climb-curious). Expect some good hills and great vibes! We’ll stick together as much as possible, but be ready to handle the climbs on your own. Grab a coffee at Mañana and catch some le Tour before we roll. Post-ride, cold drinks and Tour replays at the shop!

This is our final Friday Ride of the 2025 Tour! We're heading through historic East Austin with lightly rolling terrain and one possible 50-foot dirt section. Come ready to manage the pace and handle your own punctures! Grab a coffee at Mañana and catch some le Tour before we roll. Post-ride, cold drinks and Tour replays at the shop!

A FEW QUICK REMINDERS
- Helmets are a must and your bike should be in good working order.
- Bring hydration, snacks, & tools to handle a flat.
- No headphones, radios, aero bars, or supertucks in the group.
- There’s no shop access before 10 AM, so plan ahead.
- We encourage you to ride to the ride—why not start the fun early? If you drive, paid garage and street parking are available.
- The average speed listed is a guideline—expect pace changes due to hills, traffic, and group flow.
